Trade Shows - Frugal Finds to bring your table to together

Trade Shows - Frugal Finds to bring your table to together

Doing a Craft/Farmers Market can be daunting. Not knowing what to bring or even how to set up can pose some challenges when you just don’t know.

I’m come to find they are a lot easier than you think.

1.First thing first set a budget because the excited alone will have you going on a shopping spree.

2. Thrift and resale stores will be your best friend. You can find inexpensive items that will complement your theme giving you more bang for your buck.

3. Big Box stores can be a big help as well when there are coupons involve. Hobby Lobby often offers their 40% coupon on one single item and they carry various other sales. With that coupon I was able to save $20 alone on one single items. Saving on each item that you buy goes a long ways.

4. Having two tables is a must. The least inexpensive ones can found at Walmart or on a resale app. You may not be able to start off with two tables but fear not. You also have the option of renting tables for low cost fee.

5. All in all make a list. Having a list will be your best friend because at the end of the day you are bond to forget something and once your at your show you can’t leave. Pinterest has some really great examples to follow.

6. Make sure to have fun and meet some other vendors, networking is key.

Self Care is more than a facial

When you think of Self Care the words, hair, feet, yoga, drinks and nails are the most common things thought of.

Self Care doesn't have to end with those. Reading a book to simulate or refresh your mind is essential to self care.

Reading a chapter a week can help you become more focused and creative in your own way.

For this week I'm reading Jesseca Dupart "When The Miracle Drops". I just completed my first chapter and my key take away from it is that you must have honest faith in what you are doing.

No one is going to believe in you more than yourself.

No one is going to push you more than yourself.

No one is going to Dream bigger than yourself.

It's great to have a team behind you but your first and biggest team member is you.

Invest the time and care in yourself the rest will follow.

Art is life

Art is life

I saw a picture today that quoted “Art is Life”, which is true art is life but what is art and what is life.

I use to think of art as being an excellent painter and life is just goals you obtain. It’s actually more than that.

Art is an expression. An experience and release. It can be that defining moment that charges everything for the betterment or for the worse.

Candles become that art form for me. A release from the daily pressures, an escape that allows me to create.

I create art pieces that allow you to escape or remember a time that was most beautiful to you.

Art is in the eye of the beholder and it’s whatever you create.

How Did You Come Up With The Name

How Did You Come Up With The Name

I have a very creative and artistic mind.

Coming up with the name Shots and Beers Candles only took a few days.

I haven’t seen anyone making candles or naming the way I did.

With my can do attitude and not taking no for an answer energy I went all in.

This was my second time around making candles.

I need my brand and ideas to stand out. Shots and Beers Candles just made a perfect it.

When your mind is made is up their is nothing no one can say or do to stop you.

That enter voice inside you just pushes you to jump and I did.

Famous Question - How did you get started?

The number one question I get asked; is how or why did I start a candle business?
Simply put it was always a hobby and the entrepreneurial spirit has always been in me.

After so many years of working for someone else I decided to take life by the horns, take a leap of faith and go for it.

That was back in 2018 here I am a few month later still a baby at it but I’m not giving up.
